The subsurface filling method (bottom up) enables safe handling of foaming products or those with hazardous fumes. To facilitate clean, efficient filling, each Model S-55-Subsurface Lance is equipped with well-thought-out features, including 304 stainless steel construction, a foot valve at the tip of the fill lance, and adjustable dribble-flow control, a fume hood and wiper ring. The filler also incorporates an Allen Bradley Micrologix 1100 PLC coupled to an Allen Bradley Panel Viewplus 400 HMI with simplfied data entry and an easy-to-read display. Additional features, such as easy accessibility to components and maximum standardization of parts, lead to low maintenance and minimum spare parts inventory.
