The Velcon Models ABP-55-S (subsurface) and ABP-55-T (top fill) Automatic Bung-Positioning Drum Fillers fill 55-gallon drums and kegs with liquid products. These fillers automatically station empty drums to a bung-positioning station by means of two-strand chain-link conveyor. There the bung is located and aligned to the filling lance position. The chain conveyor then moves the pre-aligned drum in to the fill by weight station where 2-speed product filling takes place. Because the bung is being aligned on one drum while the preceding drum is being filled, filling time is reduced and production is greatly increased. To facilitate clean, efficient filling, each Model ABP-55 is equipped with well-thought-out features, including 304 stainless steel construction, AB PLC interfaced control, a foot valve at the tip of the fill lance, and adjustable dribble-flow control, a fume hood and wiper ring. |
